Dell is not dead... their latest victim was Compaq... they have also hurt HewleyPack... they take market share from all rivals... they have now a hugely successful peripheral website doing something like $1b in sales already

Dell is not dead... they will grow more slowly... they have insane efficiency, and make their suppliers invest in Dell's efficiency... in 1998 IBM lost $1b in PC business, doing better now... everyone gets hurt by Dell... dont be surprised to see them grow by a healthy 25-35% per year

interesting: PC's show slower growth with declining margins... wireless shows screaming growth and expanding margins for its newest handset models... I like where my coinage is parked

change of the tech guard taking place: WIRELESS RULES

Besides praying to the PC gods what will spur Earnings growth? How will they expand margins? How will they maintain Rev growth. Qcom stock took off because it freed up value that wasnt there before. What can DELL do that can emulate QCOM? I think Micheal Dell is a genius, and DELL is a great GREAT company. HOWEVER I think Their market is saturated, and their business becoming much more competitive. There is no way with its current model that they can recreate growth they have had for last 5 years. Unless they buy, or get into a completly new business involving Thin servers. Actually DELL should buy COMS or the Palm Pilot from COMS. They could then build a new line of thin server products. Without a change in direction DELL IS AS GOOD AS DEAD MONEY

<<On the other hand, Dell will also wake up from its current state and take off. Both QCOM and Dell are great companies.>>

Paul: I totally agree with you. The market will tell the truth in the months and years ahead.

Best Regards,

Scott
