No, you just have to be on record on the date of July 24th, you could sell your stock today and still receive the spin-offs, but you would be a stupid fool, as Jud posted, the reason Bnez increased their authorized shares was to facilitate the sale of the company

I would expect news on the three spin offs and the purchase of Bnez by an outside investor or company anytime,

No matter how good the news is about the 3 spin offs that BNEZ is doing, it is to late to purchase stock to get into those spin-offs, so good news won't effect the stock price, only a release of a buy-out

also, by this friday, CDAT is to be completely divested from BNEZ and they will be on their own, will all the excitement start after that, HOPEFULLY

MUST we continue to own these shares up until the new company shares are in our account in order to receive them?

No. As long as you owned BNEZ stock as of the record date (7/10/99), you get the spin-off shares for CDAT.

As the remaining spin-offs are still to come and be officially announced as done, it isn't yet known what the ownership record date will be to receive shares in those.
