doesn't that remind you of a penny P&D PR?

it is in fact to SI's corporate 'advantage' to move everyone to beta
profits rule here, imho

SI BETA SUCKS,

wonder how they will reconcile this other than slowly switching server facilities so there may be no other choice, jmo

ynot :)

Re NEW vs. OLD SI -- There IS no official policy yet.

Since the Petition Thread is not a discussion thread, Susan, and since you have not posted to the Petition Forum, which is a discussion thread, I am answering your post here, where you have posted the same message.

You say you see "no need" for any controversy. Well, let's review the "controversy" chronologically:

I gots ta know. Will the Old Good Format be kept available and current for those of us who tried and rejected the New Bad one?

From what I've heard... only for a limited time... 30 days after the full roll out of new SI... maybe a little more.

BryanB posts a long message on a multitude of matters, containing the following sentence (the one you have been quoting):

For those of you who wish to continue using the old SI, you can do so by visiting talk.techstocks.com, or by using your old bookmarks (other than bookmarks to the old SI home page). Any messages posted to either the old SI or the new SI will appear on both sites.

Message 10752877

There were then a number of queries (about whether this was a temporary or permanent policy), including two posts by LRR on two separate threads:

Thanks, Bryan, for keeping us informed. When management listens to shareholders like you do, it is no wonder that Go2Net has a cult following.

BTW, does this mean that the "old" SI will always be with us?

Does this mean that the previous 30-day Electric Chair estimate is being pushed out? Even better - have plans to shut it down been put on long-term hold? pleasepleaseplease

BryanB, does this mean that the old SI will remain available indefinitely? Am I reading this correctly - or are termination plans still "go"?

So far, there has been no response to these queries. Until there is one, I will regard this whole issue as unsettled.

There is word out now that the SEC and NASD are going to cracking down on all kinds of frauds, scams..overblown claims, etc in the investing arena. I for one think that anyone dealing with your money should be pristine clean without any blemish. I have no opinion on daytrading firms nor to I follow more than a handful of very good stock selection sites and I can vouch for one half dozen of them even as they are our 'competition'.

But before giving any person whether it be a daytrading site, a stock selection site that is asking for your money, even Market Gems make sure there are no law suits pending, make sure there is no problems with the NASD, complaints are usually verifiable as well by getting in touch with the companies handling your credit card orders. For instance Market Gems works with First Data Corporation and you can check out complaints, or cashback requests. Find out from ex-subscribers why they have left, its easy.

My husband in his capacity as white collar crime investigator had been working on cases collaborating with the SEC and just hanging around the action and picking up snippets here and there (cases were not discussed with me until they were in the newspapers) I discovered the public is privy to a lot of information but they don't know who to ask. Public records are open for everyone who knows where to go to access them.

Just like you check out the Better Business Bureau when you are looking for a roofer or construction worker, or the checking out if your surgeon is is board certified check out the claims and records of anyone you are dealing with. I always say check out 3 things: your broker or financial advisor, your physician and if you are an avid flyer, the company that manufactures the parachutes.. as well as the plane.
