H I did the quick test at first and it told me that my 56K connection was averaging about 32K. But it does say to try the throughput test at various times because of traffic factors etc. I then decided to go for the whole works...the pro test...it takes a while and it tells you more than you probably want to know about how your browser is functioning. After my browser failed a few multimedia tests and some graphics tests it got me thinking about downloading IE5...haven't done it yet. I found the test interesting but a little (lot) lengthy. But if someone REALLY wants to know how their browser is working...it does the trick. Glad you found the hard drive clean up article useful.

hey hp, re "Note to Mark....Stay with Norton SystemWorks. :-)" all right, i think that i will. it seems to be getting its share of bad press on this thread of late, doesn't it? glad to see that you're running some of those browser tests that dennis linked for us. it sure would be fun to just show wily once and for all that ie really is the weaker browser. <g3> are you using the beta/turbo SI? i'm posting from there now. since the classic version is going to go away, i've determined that i ought to spend some time making friends with its ugly sister. :) mark
