thinkers" are Terrence Bergh and X. (Correct me if I am wrong, folks.) Catch them
agreeing about anything! <gg><

Gee, if I agree with you on this one point some idiot is bound to say we agree on everything. :-)

Oh jbe, that was not meant as a swipe at anybody, especially you. Simply a broad observation. When I think of media personalities who are referred to as "free thinkers", this is usually what kind of person they are talking about:

1. They don't believe in God.
2. They believe people need to give more to the government in taxes as a solution to the social problems of the world.
3. They are a member of Greenpeace or some other active environmental group. Some would refer to them as eco-terrorists.
4. They despise successful business people like Bill Gates.
5. They believe people are generally untrustworthy and need laws passes such as gun control to feel free.

I'm thinking the "Neocon" discussion says less about the person with the name than those who would have him defend it. "Neocon" seems reasonably descriptive, non-threatening and not silly or offensive.

Some in the enlightened and feeling crowd sound a bit like (in their own gentle way) a bunch of white guys demanding, "Hey Cassius, why you call yo' self 'Mo Ham Ed' -- huh, boy?

Not directed at you, Joan. Haven't paid much attention to who said what.
