BB, gold depends on SE Asia to recover especially China. This is not in the cards for a while. It has to do with their life style they buy 24K gold, not the 14K crap sold in the US.

They are over 3 billion people and their middle class is bigger that the US & Canada in all aspects including buying power.

The first indication of them recovering will be seen in the grains. Keep in mind 4 pounds of grains for 1 pound of meet. After putting meet on the table they buy 24K jewlery.

Hi bobby,

Just checked out a chart on gold and it looks like with the breakout yesterday we've both broken upwards out of the beautiful rounded bottom being built since July, and broken the downtrend on the daily chart. This was just a cursory glance - most important in my view is the bottom we've formed. I've just gone long October gold on IndexTrade for a few $ per cent movement. Now I just need for us to end the beta and allow real-money trading! <ggg>

I definitely think that we're now out of the woods on gold.
