Sadly, I believe there is much more truth in that post than I would care to admit. What we really need to do is attract quality people to political life. In the current system, I don't see any chance of that happening. JLA

I think Newt had to banish himself because, as has now been revealed, he was heavily involved at the time in his own adulterous affair. I'd love to read the transcript of the testimony he'll give in his wife's divorce action. I wonder if he'll quibble over a definition of "sex"?

I voted Libertarian in 92, was vacillating between the Libertarians and US Taxpayers in 96, wound up voting for Dole.

I'm not convinced the Libertarians will ever break the 1-2% range in votes. What year did that billionaire run? That year they fared somewhat better. As long as the Randian/anarchist wing continues to write the platform the party is pretty much confined to being a debating club, albeit a fun one.
