Actually your mention of IBM in the context of storage reminds me of a general coverage problem in discussing gorillas and kings which I would appreciate your views on.

IBM and SUNW are examples of companies which are in many related fields which if they were focused exclusively on one of those fields, they might qualify as gorillas or at least kings in those fields. How is the best way to deal with this type of company in the gorilla game context?

BTW the most extreme case of this problem in gorilla game terms is GE which is widely considered the best managed company in the world and is 1st or 2nd in several different fields.

Could GE, IBM or SUNW be considered a gorilla or king in one of its fields and just a simple leader or #2 in others?
