Rich,
I have been out of town for the holiday, and missed that report. I bet VEBA would sell MEMC for the right price, but to whom? SEH perhaps? Who would want to get into this business? So it would probably be an established player. The news of the MDZ wafers may offer some attraction. If SEH and MEMC combined, would they have over 50% of the wafer market? If so, that could achieve the economies of scale and offer lots O' MDZ wafers to further ruin already financially weak competitors. With the current move in place, I think any price would be over the '95 IPO price of $24.

Tom
