<<I may be one of the few left impressed with the fact a letter left Alabama on Thursday and reached me on Tuesday (Monday being a holiday) for 33 cents. >>

Not as impressed as I was last year. I sent a $15,000 check 23 miles and got a call 10 days later saying if I didn't pay that day I wouldn't get my discount. Drove over and wrote another check, paid the bank $15 to void the first check and got a call the next day asking what I wanted done now that the first check arrived.

I sent a package to Vancouver and it made it to Seattle, then came all the way back for me to add a 1 cent stamp.

I will say my RFD carrier is a good source of gossip though.

Remember when a Western Union Telegram was a big deal and cost several bucks for 11 words. email is free. Time to stop sending letters and see if the USPS can survive on unwanted junk mail.

We appreciate your appreciation.

Our management would like to know about that 'personal' element so that they can root it out.
