I have always disliked MS IE but it is true that the Netscape browser 128 bit encryption version I am using constantly crashes my java SW ticker. After installing 2nd edition of Win 98 I smiply use the build in version of IE, ie didn't have to download or install anyting additional from MS, and the SW tickers etc have been fine.

IE 5. S.O.S. HELP somebody please! ! Ever since I upgraded my IE 4 to the new version 5 I have had nothing but problems. Firstly, had to go download that Java Machine and then the security issues with running java applets which I downloaded the patch for. I am still using IE 5 and now my IE freezes every time I go to enter trade information when I am trying to move my mouse to the next screen for example # of shares, buy or sell, price.
Could anybody please help me with this?

Well russett, I regeret having taken your advice and downloaded the new IE5.
Everything has slowed to a crawl. My pointer/cursor moves in stop time....I type and I have to wait for the letters to catch up.
I try to point my cursor to a button or whatever and I continually over shoot it....
this bites.

I should have left well enough alone.
