Michelle, you seem like a nice person. If I say I think something, then please be assured that that is in fact what I *really* think.

And I respect your right to think what you think too! <G>

And I did NOT say that Kansas gets federal funding if they screw things up.

Michelle:- I like you and the Chicken man also, but as to the question of who should decide whether the Kansas folks are right or wrong, I must demur. The question was decided when the Bill of Rights was adopted. The Board was attacking the Constitution, as zealots frequently do.It would take far more than an uneducated school board or even a majority of Jayhawkers (no insult, Kansans profess pride in the name).

By the way, I haven't noticed if anyone has gotten around to basics here yet, that is to say, "After all, why go backwards to argue, when it is well setled among reasonable persons that evolution is a fact, no longer worthy of debate."?
It is fun, tho!

Uh huh. And I remember back when Federal Aid to Education was adopted, we were assured that OF COURSE Washington bureaucrats would never control education at the local level.

Does the fact that they lied at the time justify now giving them the power they swore they would never take?

Ok, lets just get rid of these federal subsidies then. Of course, we would also stop taxing for them as well.

Then the states can decide on their own policy, right?
