I would be interested to hear a bona-fide fact that goes against evolution. <edit> excuse me - my manners. The theory of evolution.

we can criticize Darwin There are several difficulties in Darwins book The Origin of Species. He wrote that book a long time ago, he got it mostly right, but there are a few bits of evidence he did not adequately explain. The theory of Natural Selection has been expanded in the later theory of Punctuated Equilibrium. I'm sure more modifications will be necessary. But just as gravity didn't stop when it was discovered that Newton's theory of universal gravity was incomplete, so the basics of evolution have not changed. TP

Evolution, Fact or Fantasy? You keep saying there is no absolute proof of evolution. Evolution is not primarly an experimental science, however, but an historical science. By the same standard, there is no absolute proof of any historical fact. Evolution, as a fact, either generally happened the way biologists say it did, or it didn't. The Civil War, or the Pellopenisian War, or any other historical event, either happened or it did not. How can you prove the Civil War happened? There are apparently those who doubt that the Holocaust happened, where millions of persons were killed in the gas chambers in Germany during WWII. Now either that happened or it didn't. I believe that it did happen, as I believe that the US Civil War actually happened. But what proof do YOU have that they did? You weren't there. You didn't see it. You haven't talked to anyone who did see it. Your proof that the Civil War happened is more or less of the same kind as the proof that evolution happened on Earth over the past several billion years. Evolution, IS an historical fact, and not a theory, just as much as the Civil War is an historical fact, and not a theory. Why don't you speak of "the theory of the Civil War", in which some scholars postulate that some years ago in the US, there was a war between the states, etc, etc. No, it is either fact, or fiction. I say evolution is fact, and the proof of the fact that all life forms present on the earth today evolved from only one beginning life form, is as solid and sound as the proof that the US Civil War happened.
