<This "takeover" by Mot has to be voted on by the shareholders of both companies. In my opinion, with the
obvious loss to GIC stockholders, it is a no vote. I believe GIC has more of a future for stockholders as a stand alone company and the MOT offer is ridiculous at best.
You opinion is welcome---and that of others on this thread.

Well, it's seems we're all of the same stunned opinion about this "takeunder." I came here looking for insight, to see if my assessment of this deal was wrong. Seems everyone agrees with me.

Now the only contrarian point I could make is this: GIC's management has been pretty sharp so far, beginning with their 3-way reorg a few years ago. They will join MOT's board and they agreed to terms--perhaps they see a more positive future than we do in our short-term disappointment?

Last year I sold MOT, disillusioned with management, and watched in disbelief the Iridium fiasco. They remained unscathed from that and yet their stock tumbles at the news of (for THEM!) this great deal with GIC! Weird.

Best,
Diana
