That's an excellent point about the put premiums...I use options to help manage the "fear/greed" aspect of investing in volatile stocks. Example: About three months ago..when NITE was selling for 52, I bought NITE and immediately sold the OCT 30 calls for 17...protecting me down to 35...which I figured would be a most excellent entry point...and if they did get called away...I would still have a 300% profit (on an annualized basis). So now I'm five bucks upside down on it now...but that's a whole lot better than $22 upside down...plus I've got a great entry point for a long-term hold. I too am looking at selling a couple of puts if NITE breaks 27...maybe the Jan 25's.
