Eric: Perhaps AMZN is in the 'announcements' business -- LOL. Others come out with compelling products, services and financial results -- AMZN comes out with compelling 'announcements' <g>

Another thing that always bothers me about Amazon anouncements such as this, is that Amazon does not provide
any revenue or profit projections that will result from new ventures. Because of this, investors are left facing a black
hole. It's easy to get excited about the prospects - but one would think Amazon has done some research into what
they think they can earn by this venture - and one has to wonder why they don't make their projections public - at
least in rough estimate form. Everyone was bullish when Amazon launched auctions - but what are Amazon auctions
really doing now? Are they making the company money? This forces me to question whether zShops will actually
make the company money - and if so, how much?

Eric,

One of Amazon's strongest bulls did not reduce losses due to zShops. Blodgett stated this was a nice step but his projected revenue and loss are not being changed.

NEW ALL TIME HIGH TOMORROW! Eric, don't you get it? The less they tell, the more the price rises.

After the market closed today, Bezos delivered the masterpiece of announcements:

<<"One of the metrics of our success will be our ability to continue to defy easy analogy. We're trying to invent something completely new that really doesn't have an analogue in the physical world.">>

So now the business plan is ineffable. Nothing analogous to it exists in the physical world. Based on the unprecedented vagueness of this press release, you should expect the stock to test its all-time high tomorrow.
