DONT EVER GO THERE.

Calm down padre. I'd be glad to discuss this with you without throwing the gloves off ;-)

There are more baseball free-for-all brawls every week then there are in an entire NHL season and nobody gets suspended in baseball.

I think that could stand some fact checking. IMHO you are comparing apples to oranges...every single time there is a confrontation between a batter and pitcher it ends up in "a bunch of out of shape fat slobs running after one another kicking and slapping with 65 year old managers in the fray." OTOH, hockey fighters choose dance partners, so to speak. And if a fight does not take place in a game it is rare. In no other game is fighting considered 'part of the game'...although some would disagree wrt the NBA...another league I don't follow anymore.

I like your description of baseball brawls BTW. No arguement there.

Pro hockey players are known to have 10 times the class that our basketball football and baseball players could ever even dream of.
Good point, I don't disagree about that either. Hockey players carry their own bags, much more fan-accessible, etc. etc...it's hard to reconcile the class off the ice with the play on the ice. I suppose there is a positive correlation between average salary levels by sport and the average level of arrogance. Baseball is the tops on that chart, hands down.

My complaint is with the game itself and how it is played. No other sport actually anticipates fights as part of the game. Later.

I Truly enjoy 'Laughter is the Best Medicine' and wonder if anyone else feels that this chat area is for humor only .

If some of us want to chat back and forth, should there not be a place to do it, other than this one.

Does anyone else feel the way I do???
