It also says that initially 700Mhz will be max frequency with 733 later in quarter. zdnet.com As Athlons offer 5% to 45% improvement depending upon benchmark - I think this tends to confirm your statements that it will be a horserace. However the frequency is lower than I would have anticipated.> This is an article with no quoted sources. I'll have will wait for the official marks before I comment. PB

Let's see what comes out of the Microprocessor forum - both from Intel and AMD. <However the frequency is lower than I would have anticipated.> If the 700MHz number is true that would be bad news for Intel.
