Good to have ya back.(assuming you win this somewhat ridiculous popularity contest vote, and you will)
I for one hope you're more passionate than ever about exposing scummy companies and the morally challenged folks that tout them.

I think I'm going to vote YES

If you vote NO, then you are probably a criminal or have something to hide. I would say that SI is made up of 50%+ of paid touts, and front-running hypesters..

AP isn't perfect, but at least he has the balls to step in and do something about it. And I respect him for that. He gets a little hmm..how do you say it..."oustpoken" sometimes with people...but that is his personality. Everybody has a differnet personality and if we don't accept that and everybody was the same, it would be one hellaciously boring place, folks...

Come back AP..it's a ghost down round here

Anthony,

Welcome back. I am sure there will be plenty of votes to bring you back. I look forward to your continued help in exposing criminals and scams as well as just generally overpriced stocks. I also look forward to more control of your emotions.

YES . . . thank you Anthony you have taught us all alot that we would never have learned on our own about the Nasdaq and how it really works. It was strong medicine but you were the right person to open our eyes.

I have to be perfectly honest with you Anthony, I hesitated voting yes because I disagreed with a few things you did in your last days at SI. However these things do not change your credibility in my eyes and if SI can forgive you than who am I not to?

Also after seeing how many posts Daniel Miller made against you coming back . . . I had to vote YES! YES! YES! YES!YES!

When you come back Anthony, can you do us a favor? Some of the shorts can be very rude . . . can you feed some of them some whoopass too? LOL! Just the really rude ones.

You go off the deep end? Noooooooooo. <ggg>

Thanks
Lola:)

Dear Anthony,
As a member of your site and having attended your seminar I just want to say thanks for all you do and for being yourself. I'm as skeptical as they get, but from first seeing the A@P thread on S.I.and knowing you from the site, to meeting you at the seminar I think you are a straight shooter. Heck we all have things that move us to different degrees of passion.Thats part of what I like about you. I see how you operate on a daily basis and I know you have a big heart. You are genuinely concerned with protecting the naive investor (me) from those that would take advantage of them and their money. If I thought for one minute that your motives were other than this, I wouldn't be writing this nor would I be a member of your site. S.I.,Go2net, I respectfully ask that you reinstate Anthony to your site. He is the best I've ever seen at what he does and the SI community would benefit from his presence. Count this as a "YES" to reinstate Anthony to Silicon Investor.

Your friend, JamesT

Tony, how is the life in dungeon <g>?

For better or for worse, you are getting a free publicity. So in that sense, SI is doing a great job making you more famous (notorious). - so try to look at the bright side.

I do not know all the "sins" you have committed, but
unless SI come up with a real good reasons for your termination, I will vote for you.
From little that I know, I think you deserved 2 weeks in dungeon, but not life sentence.

Let me ask you just one thing Tony,

You have your own private site making mucho money.....
why an earth do you want to come back to SI after all this mess and humiliation from SI?
If I were you, I wouldn't come back even if SI begged me.

Anyway, hope to see you around soon,

jon

Anthony, I presume some would find it difficult to subject oneself to a vote. On the other hand, I imagine some satisfaction can be derived at receiving "special" and unprecedented attention.

With a general predisposition toward goodwill, I conclude that this vote is a foregone conclusion with SI merely looking for the most palatable method of achieving the desired end (reinstatement). Thus, the only point appears to be for each to step to the pulpit for a moment and offer observations or comments - trying this while you were around would have been met with quite a backlash - so, although not a sympathetic ear, at least you're a captive audience.

I concur with much of what TLC stated (#175) - most are here trying to utilize SI to learn more about investing and to improve our individual situations.

To paraphrase TLC, "the rules (should) protect all the members whether they are new, old, experienced or not". Who you think you are, where you worked, who you know, and where you live is irrelevant. It shouldn't accord you a greater or lesser benefit than the rest. Period.

I would venture to guess that most everyone here has significant accomplishments and ample reason to be proud. Many are having or have had quite impressive careers. At a minimum, we have all done something right or we wouldn't have the money to invest or trade.

We are not all the same. But getting along is important. The noise, the arguing, the bashing, the hyping, all get in the way of our objective.

I tire of the tirades between long and short traders and bulls and bears. I assume I'm not the only one who just wants the information and the analysis - you want to color and spin that's fine - because conclusions are subjective, but when it turns into repetitive bashing and/or hyping it just wastes time. If a company has problems, if a stock is perceived to be overvalued, the facts can speak for themselves. Same with undervalued companies. The loud repetitive hyping is unnecessary and unwanted. Period.

As far as I know, I have never been on the opposite side of a trade with you, nor read all of the "battles" that have occurred, but what has crossed my path has been unneccesary in my opinion. I doubt I would be alone in saying that I would have liked to have "learned" some of which you could have communicated, but was repulsed by the "situations" that kept arising on a fairly regular basis. Surely for all your apparent talents some personal work would be beneficial to discover the "common ground" which we all must walk.

Nevertheless, this community on SI is best served by the diversity of its talent and the richness of the experiences of ALL its members. I too, "vote" for your return. I hope it brings the kind of "consideration" that so many of your followers already attribute to you.

Perfect example of what's wrong with A@P

he writes a plausible apology,
they takes a pot shot at the
very people he was sorry to.

I think he needs 6 months off
of SI to develop all the web
sites he hypes here anyway.

SI is doing him a favor
by showing him the door.
SI's will manage just
fine without him.

Anthony,

I've seen so many fights you've been into on SI.
You brought this upon yourself. You don't have
to go on the attack with every issue. You've made
way too many posts that just ask for trouble.
You've been too arrogant.
Pride comes before a fall.

If SI allows you back on, maybe someone should proof
read your posts before they're submitted. If you're
not permitted back on, there may be reincarnation. <ggg>
(I don't believe it's possible in real life, but this
is cyberspace.)

Can't wait to see the voting results!
Happy investing!

YES - Anything less amounts to pure censorship of mere opinion. What's more, it takes more to stand up for others whom you don't necessarily agree with.

Hi Tony,

Well I'm sure it's a foregone conclusion at this point that you will be back on SI!

I don't agree with the way this was done. I think SI simply should have made the decision since nobody really knows exactly why you were PERMANENTLY(at least in cyber space days <gggg>) excommunicated anyway.

Hope you can control the "deep end" this time. <ggg>

Hey A@P...let me make some suggestions to ya..
if and when you get back on...be cool....
if something is not right about a stock...just state what is wrong with it and leave it at that...no need to belittle anybody
just because they are long...best thing to do is..just lay it out for them one time and leave it be...let them make up their own mind
instead of a constant barrage from your crew...i think everybody on
si that dislikes you because of the past would have more respect for what you have tried to accomplish if you would do that...just giving ya my 2 cents worth...good luck...and above all...be cool!!!

I can't bring myself to vote to allow you to come back if you treat others the way you have in the past so I guess my vote has to be no.
If this was a vote to allow you back for 30 days and then hold a vote on whether to allow you to stay I would say yes in a heartbeat, just as I would for every person that has been banished (with the exception of the people that lost their membership for spam or advertising).

Do you think you could keep from threatening people for 30 days? I think I saw where A@Ptrader said that you had answered the questions about your punishment record at NASD 1000 times but I have never seen any of the answers.

Good God, He can't believe they made you say all that. Don't they know that you could squash SI like a bug if you started your own site. They probably do know that which is why they begged you to come back. We know that your subservient ass-kissing done with your tounge firmly in cheek. Hope you didn't nibble on any dingle berries.
