Another Excel question for anyone who has the expertise/inclination to want to help

While we are on the subject of Excel formulas, is there a way to write a formula to sound an alert and/or may be change the color of the font on a cell when a certain condition is satisfied. What I mean by this is as follows:

This is of interest to a couple of people besides myself who sent me private messages.

Is there a way within excel to do the following:

If cell 1 >= cell 2 then sound alert

and /or

If cell 1 >= cell 2 then cell 1 turns blue(or some other pre-specified color)
