My fax has been filled with propaganda from the gold charlatans up in Vancover telling stories of up and coming companies with the motherlode. Avoid these at all cost, stick with quality juniors.

Inco, Falconbridge, Cambior, Placer Dome, Barrick Gold, Diamond Fields, TECK CORP all got there starts on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. To avoid them is to avoid the true opportunity to invest when the investing is cheap.

Hutch
PS: A small investment in any of them back then is worth much more then GOLD.

Hi. Can you provide a list of "quality juniors"?

A good principle in general. However, I wouldn't think that mentioning company names needs be considered promotion. I was planning to track them down and make my own decisions but I guess coffee and the paper will have to do (^.*)

Ken,

Didn't the Bre-X scandal and the following years of the "put no money in gold or metals mining" mantra get a great deal of the dirt out of the VSE? Is not sheer survival thru these worst of times a sign of some worth?

End of the galaxy (but don't hold your breath)
BY MICHAEL HANLON
SCIENCE EDITOR
STOP worrying about the end of the world - the end of the whole galaxy is the real problem. Astronomers have calculated that the Milky Way will be destroyed in a headlong, 300,000mph collision with the giant Andromeda galaxy.

Stargazers have spotted several galactic collisions through telescopes and the Hubble observatory. But all these cosmic pile-ups have happened millions or billions of light years away. Now calculations have revealed that our own galaxy, which is shaped like a spiral and contains 100 billion suns, is heading straight for the much larger Andromeda galaxy, two million light years away.

The results will be catastrophic for our galaxy and could spell the end of our planet.(cont)
