Kirk: You made my point. The workers must be ready, able and willing to work. The workers on the curb are not qualified to work at Walmart. The jobs are left unfilled and you wait in rock concert lines like me to buy your crap.

I was at Costco on Lawrence yesterday at noon buying 26
pounds of mayonaise and could swear that the entire Bay
Area took a day off work to go shopping. The entire
17 acre parking lot was full.

The California assembly just approved a Bill outlawing
new Costcos, so that Mom and Pop stores (like Safeway and
Lucky) have a better chance of making it.

Personally, I would rather read consumer reports and
buy my vaccuum cleaner from the huge box store rather
than Mom n Pop. I bought my last unit from Mom & Pop,
was lied to, and taken to the cleaners.
