Rande what are your thoughts on the general market here?...crash and burn before the end of the month...or are we near bottom?

Also, any thoughts on HOOV...looks like it may be thru the post PR pop...11ish looks reasonable. Lock-up ends around mid-December...so they make try to get the price up...

fbn-fyi
I posted the story about fbn being a boring play to 25,
i am currently at the furniture market and the mood is very
upbeat, and i am hearing fbn will report their 15th record quarter in a row when earnings come out in two weeks, if you want a great value play, with little downside, and a fairly predictable move to 25 from 19 3/8 close today, this
is a fairly low risk play, check it out, but you will have a hard time believing this stock is not valued higher by wall street, (ok furniture is boring to wall street, but not a bad profit for 2 week swing trade)

Apparently tomorrow is going to be another rough ride in the stock and bond markets. Al GreenSPAM is yak'ing it up again. Everytime that man speaks lately, the financial markets have a fit. I've heard that the Hong Kong market is suffering right now, and that the S&P futures are way down - sorry for not having numbers for you.

Rande, Kevin S., Kevin T,. Banchee, All...on the X play

I believe i have seen the spark that may light he fire under the X play, next week earnings reports will be followed by much media hype IMHO.

from Keith Benjamen today..

The eTailDEX is currently up 56% from the recent low of 812.5 on
August 4 but still down 30% from the 52-week high of 1807.45,
suggesting room for substantial moves in the group over the
coming months. The first wave of eTailers will report next week
providing an opportunity for encouraging news to renew the
positive moves in the stocks. While the large cap names have
recovered from recent lows more dramatically, we expect stocks of
some of the smaller companies, such as Value America and
Beyond.com could benefit from solid Q3 results.

Yeah, thanks. Looks like I get to turn all those short bets into a gain on my books today. It looks like the bomb-bay doors are open....
Look out below. QQQ, NDX, DOW, GIN, SPX, etc., I am short them all. Like I said, last week, on the run-up, was a good entry point for going short.
And, if the banking sector starts to take on water, we are in for a real mess, and I see it brewing, just remember this in another 3-9 months.

No inflation my ass....Also, M-2 has been shrinking, as I mentioned 6 months ago.

This will be a new paradigm for all the sub 25 year old market traders. They think stock prices only go up!!

A must read for all on this thread. Take the time>>
