RE <<<" As a matter of fact Charles R, should break off his association with his friends and sources within Intel. They have caused him great pain where it hurts most. In his pocketbook ! "

Since Charles friends past credibility is poor, we have to take their statements with a very large pinch of salt.>>>

Your claim may, in fact, be true but neither you nor PB back up your claims with facts, just speculation. So how do you expect your voices to be more credible.

Saturn V - Re: ". It was repeatedly claimed by Charles sources, that Intel had no response to the Athlon until Willamette, and Coppermine was nothing but a higher speed Katmai. We heard that repeatedly, and when we were all surprised by the Coppermine enhancements at MPF, I made the following comments:"

You forgot one of Charles' BEST F*CKED UP prediction - that Gateway would have Athlon PCs ready for sale by this Christmas - of course, Gateway completely DUMPED AMD a few weeks after Charles' SUPERB prediction !

I loved that one!

Also, I have now pretty much confirmed that Gateway WILL have Athlons before Christmas.
