This will be interesting, V. I have a differing opinion, and if I'm wrong, will no longer make predictions on this thread (but reserve the right to do so on g&k <g>).

I see Q running over 250 this week based on the announcement of unexpected massive growth in their ipr revenue stream.

I hope this turns out better than the Niners vs. Falcons game <g>.

Hi Voltaire,

Based on info from this link ( biz.yahoo.com )...QCOM has surprised an average of ~21% for the last 5 quarters. If for this quarter they expect $0.88/share... then for a surprise of ~8% (the lowest surprise of the list) they would need ~$0.95/share...so to meet the highest whisper # that I've seen they would need @ least a ~10% surprise which would be ~$0.97/share ( streetiq.com ).

I talked to a friend of mine who used to work for AT&T wireless, and he was saying that after the new Nokia phone came out a few months ago, no other brand was selling & that they were having problems with them anyways... I don't know enough about QCOM's business to know what else they do to generate revenue, or how other store/wireless companies are doing. So why do you think they will surprise slightly to the upside (besides the fact that the CEO said so)? From the whisper # or the first call #? Do you think they'll beat the whisper? If so then, by how much? Thanks.

Best of Luck,

Where'd He Go?

BTW: I unloaded my calls today for a slight $$$, so I hold no current position.
