While I'd like the POG to rally & global sound $$ proponents get their "due," I'd rather see the chaos about to envelop this planet in less than 34,500 minutes elevate blood pressures everywhere.

More basic LITERAL SURVIVAL ISSUES need to be front burnered. The latest manic evocation by the count-the-missing-Keebler-Ft Knox-bars uttered by the grating hamster-wheel freneticism of GADDABOUT SMurphy is ONLY 180 Degrees OFF THE MARK.

His lack of global discernment of what is and is NOT serious Now only elevates baffoonery to an obelisk shaped, phallic inspired artform.

No where is this WAKE-UP more necessary than by denizens of the most advanced societies here in the Northern Hemisphere in particular, who by some twist of fate are primarily responsible for said Y2K "bug" propigation and resultant pandemic manifestation in the first place.

Richard, My friend, the PHYSICAL gold ABOVE GROUND is pretty much distributed now, thanks in large part to greed of the "haves" and sloth of the newly have-nots, including our Fed Reserve, its Canadian counterparts, the Dutch and the ECB minions, who have been selling like it was a Macy's Sidewalk Sale. I'd rather know who is buying it all up and go hang out with them than live with the walking dead who will be "effervescing odiferously" in less than 3 wks!

LORD HAVE MERCY.

Re relationship between PB & gold

Morning Richard,

Isn't this the same relationship between the CRB and gold? By that, I mean, doesn't the PB usually track with the CRB index? Gold tends to respond to the inflation indicated by the CRB.

If anyone out there doesn't yet have anti-virus software, Microsoft has arranged for free 90 trials from various vendors (Network Associates, Symantec are probably the most popular). This will at least get you to early March 2000 and past the worst of the Y2K viruses.
