Hello all,

Can anyone tell me where I can order or pickup a Matrox G200 MMS with PCI... dual or quad output will do. I contacted Matrox but haven't got an answer yet. I have a Matrox G400 dual head in a different PC with AGP slot and love it... now I need a similar one for a PCI slot.

Thanks,
SF

Evidetally your usage of the word BIOS is completely different them mine. People normally think of the BIOS as being either Motherboard BIOS, Adapter card BIOS or loaded from disk (drivers). Control programs stored in ROM and used for controlling the operation of Modems, CDRW drives and printers are called firmware.

This part of a Jaz tech support email to me:

The Jaz
drive is fully compatible with Windows NT, and no BIOS (firmware) upgrade is
needed.

My trading machine is down.
First of all I own a HP-6355, 333 Celeron. The original problem was that the computer would reboot itself once/twice a day without warning. HP did send a tech out to the house to replace the power supply and motherboard. Now the computer doesn't boot at all! They are ordering a new CPU that will take 5 days before any repairs can be done. If I buy a new computer it would take me 3 days to setup for trading. I have no problems working on a computer. Question; Can I fix this myself?

1. When the computer boots it has power and a light flashes on the CD & floppy drives then will do nothing else.

2. The tech said most of the time you can't change the CPU from one motherboard to another. Is this true?

3. If I can find a 333 Celeron (1 slot, 66 bus) at my local store do you think the CPU is the problem? If I can't find a 333 could I use a 400 Celeron?
Any thoughts about this problem would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Doug
