Paul, I read on the LSI thread that one reason LSI was getting hammered today was because of flash memory shortage. Apparently, Solectron, world's biggest contract manufacturing company, said the shortage of flash is causing holdups in building various consumer products, hence,
slowing of orders given to manufacturers of other kinds of chips. I don't know why that would be cause for concern for lSI any more than for most other chip vendors. Anyway, flash shortages continue. Intel should be shipping tons of them, I suspect.

RE:"Intel's Technology Development team has pulled off a minor miracle in correcting the Coppermine speed problems and subsequently SHOOTING AHEAD of the AthWIPER in speed."...

AND WHAT SPEED PROBLEMS WERE THOSE? Floppermine had speed problems? You are admitting this? I think it's amazing they got to 733 with that old core. 800 would be even more amazing. We will have to see what happens next monday. If so, I see it as a gift to Dell and possibly a preventative measure to try and keep GTW from defecting to Athlon.
Still...no GOOD motherboard to run on....So they stick a 800MHZ Floppermine in a BX motherboard I guess...
