Did you make informed decisions when you were a teen ager? Were you abstinate or was it just lack of opportunity if you were? I love it when liberals like you can sit on your fat behinds and think that your ideas for morality are workable. IT ISN'T ABOUT INFORMING THEM. You can scare them, maybe. If you do, it won't matter. They are going to seek what they lust after and our sicko world is going to give it to them, right under your nose! A certain percentage of kids are going to be sexually active, regardless of what race, religion, or culture they come from Yes, I understand this Mark, but it is not the jist of the article, and also it does not make it to clear a path to teach them how just to satisfy what the ""world"" considers morality. What education do you seek Mark? If you want your kids to have he morals of a Frenchman...take them there, my friend.... I mean France is such a world leader in everything an all......... A certain number are going to be car theives, shall we start lock picking classes in the 6th or 7th grade? A certain number are going to smoke, shall we pass out Lucky's in preschool so they know how to inhale so as to not bother other people? Very dangerous to tell girls not to have sex. Many a girl will ask her mother if she had premarital sex and why. Hard (and sinful) to lie. Such discussions are likely to instigate, rather than reduce such behavior. Very, very dangerous to tell boys not to have sex. Most boys want to have sex, at least for the experience. Many a boy will ask his father, and then there will be hell to pay. It is probably much better for parents to make thinly veiled threats of dire earthly punishment, withdrawal of parental love, and eternal damnation. The purpose is to engender guilt and shame and to make children thoroughly miserable and sexually dysfunctional. It is very difficult to convince intelligent and thoughtful young people that having teenage sex is wrong. When I discussed the prospect of abstinence with my sons they broke up laughing. They said it was just sour grapes on my part.
