Silicon Investor, the following requires a complete, honest response. Even though I was on the so-called "Classic SI Guardian Committee" (with highly debatable effect) I never, ever got a believable answer to this.

why can't we keep the
classic SI and integrate the features that users like from the new SI to the classic site and then just get rid of the
new SI..

Is there some sort of proprietary reason since GNET took over that compels SI to change the functionality, font
size,simplicity,color scheme etc?

Amen to that!

Perhaps GNET didn't understand what they had bought, or how truly excellent the Dryers' interface was. Like great acting, it was so good, you weren't aware of it. That is very, very hard to do.

Since GNET took over, SI is just not cool anymore. I noticed they are touting an SI credit card on the new home page. Yuk! I'd get a Discover card before I got one of those! And a year ago, if I had been offered an e-mail account @ siliconinvestor.com I probably would have used it. Now: fuggedaboutit!

Memo to GNET management: When you buy a "community" website, try really, really hard not to piss off the community!
