Thanks for that infromed post on AIDS impact in Africa. There is a school of economic thought which states the major unmentioned "real cause" of the great depression were the the Flu deaths and WWI deaths which reduced overall demand & with the increase in productivity from technology increases of the day, deflation was assured.

Will the future only replay the past?
