John,
Rather interesting about humidity. People coming from the west hate it. I like it.

Re: "The thing that gets me is that it is RELENTLESS, from mid-June to mid-September, it is NEVER cool, even at night. Florida is, weatherwise, a great place to live the other nine months of the year, and the 360 +/- days of sunshine is hard to beat."

Well now I have to tell you about Phoenix. The heat here is staggering from June to mid October. Many nights have lows in the 90s and car problems in the summer could mean death. It certainly limits your travel. Otherwise it's pretty nice here. I only wear shorts year round and now it's low to mid 70s. Not much green though...

John, you were kicking around some TA with Intel, and I said I'd ask for a look by the resident TA expert on the LSI thread. She just came back with it. Looks good:

John,

OT - Florida, Chicago, NY & LA

Weatherwise, I'll take LA. Except for the lack of any semblance of humidity at times (like now), I have no complaints at all. I've lived in Miami Beach (born there), Chicago (my youth), NY & LA. LA when hot is still comfortable and when cold it's only 35-45 so not bad at all.
When I was there, Chicago went from -125 one cold Feb day to a miserable 103 or so in July or Aug. FL is as you said very uncomfortable in the summer.
