Re creationism being the possible foundation of evolution (I personally think they can coexist) let me know what you think the very first "thing" evolved from, if you will.

What's the point of spending your life looking up Jefferson quotes (or others). If you're really convinced this life is all there is, then lights out, you ought to start enjoying it a little more.

Actually, this country was founded on the principle of stealing land from the Native Americans and having it worked by slaves and indentured servants. I don't know if these are Christian principles or not ("servants obey your masters" -- Paul). But whatever they are to hell with them.
