I said something like this many times. Most recently:

Gateway, I think, is the beginning of OEM move to Athlon/AMD. Depending on how strong the 800MHz launch is AMD may have even a 3+Mu Athlons for Q1. With earnings conservatively being ~$1.

First we need to get to Q1 earnings and see a $60 stock price. Other things will come later.

A beautiful day for AMD:

1. AMD based GTW boxes are sure to come shortly and STAY.

2. Other box makers that use sole chip supplier will under gun from Wall Street to use alternative CPU supplier to avoid being GTW #2. Using Alternative supplier becomes new game rule for box makers to assure the Street, starting from Today.


An excellent day. Although I never would have believed it six months ago...this type of pressure could even bring Dell around.
