Jim, <GTW is experiencing difficulty obtaining C'mine based PIII 450 MHz processors>

There are no Coppermine processors being sold below 500 MHz, unless Fortuna was talking about mobile Coppermines.

Jim, re:<"GTW is experiencing difficulty obtaining C'mine based PIII 450 MHz processors....there may be revenue risk of between $30-$50 million in the quarter.">

I didn't even know such a part existed! There are no Floppermines slower than 600 MHz on pricewatch.

Or were they talking about notebook chips, which wouldn't be listed there anyway?

Jim - <he spoke with GTW management this morning and "GTW is experiencing difficulty obtaining C'mine based PIII 450 MHz processors....>

None of the products listed by Gateway are either Coppermines or .18.

The products are ol' Deschuttes/Katmai's and Celeron derivitives.

Actually, since I'm all caught up personally in the leading edge, future and upcoming end of the spectrum, I'm a little caught by surprise by implications that the mainstay part of the product line seems to be so constrained.
