You must be using automated telephone trading??? I tried to do some trades on the phone today and I was on hold for 20 minutes.

Solution perhaps for any who want faster trading in Canada.
schwabcanada.com
Call them and you will get one of the most professional online trading accounts available at this time.

Buying and selling MCf today was an example. It was moving
too fast to get it electronicly. I have complained but so far all I got was an apology.

I think anyone serious should look it over.
The average account size at Schwab is 150k, wheras most other online discount brokers you will find the average is 4k or less.

Nothing more frustrating than trying to execute a 50k order but having to wait for the several hundred dollar order traders as the phone lines are tied up with them.

My main US accounts are Real Tick and am in the process of opening a few accounts at schwab for better executions in Canada.

The cost of trades is much less at Schwab for the lower dollar ones. eg. $10k order on vse with schwab is approx. $50.00 wheras with other online "discount brokers" it may be as high as $150.00. Might not be alot to some but when spending thousands or tens of thousands a month in commissions it can be a vast savings.

<I have had to start using the phone to get any trades done in time to achieve any success> But how long are you placed on hold? I remember being placed on hold through the Presidents Account line for atleast 2 - 3 minutes last month. I wonder if Cam. or anybody can comment on the wait time with the Presidents Desk at TD.
