Elmer - Re:"Intel has raised the bar once again for SPEC scores with the new 800MHz Xeon.

SPECint95 = 39 highest number ever published
SPECfp95 = 32 highest number ever published for x86"

So what is it that makes the Athlon 800 the world's fastest processor?

Now I remember... it is hype, distortions and rigged benchmarks.

Elmer is this the Coppermine Xeon with on die L2 cache? I just got an email saying the new 800 MHz Xeon is available in the channel but can't make out if it is Coppermine or not.

If so, it is what we have been waiting for to get the really high margin sales going again after customers abandoned the old Xeons in favour of Coppermines.
