MB, Let me rephrase the question. <g>
The sense I get is a number of semi analysts, (Tad being the exception), believe demand was stronger than anticipated for Intel product which resulted in shortages. They site GTW as an example. (AMD not an issue in these predictions).
The question is, are they misinterpreting supply problems as demand problems?

Mike,

<I think the important number is 1997 vs. 1999 and the stock price in both years.>

I like to look at growth over the last 12 months for a short term view and CGR over 5 years for a more long term track record. IMO, INTC's EPS growth looks good short term and good long term. I understand your problem with the relative valuations, I just have a different opinion. Keep in mind that INTC is going to announce record revenues and EPS in a year which you have been characterizing as horrible for the PC industry. They are also going to show excellent margins. They must be doing something right <g>.

Cheapskate Alert, Flamingo.Com has a $15 off $15 purchase at Planet RX. You have to pay the shipping, but still beats the prices anywhere else. <g> And Deal of Day and Deal-Finder both have another $10 off $10 at Barnes and Noble. How's dem apples, Amazon? <g>

The friends who had problems with DrugEmporium finally got their shipments.

I'm still waiting for the Mother Nature backorders.
