Micheal - Yes we shall see. I think your puts are a bad idea.

Michael, ...since I just purchased a slug of puts. We shall see. If INTC goes up substantially from here (I hope
it enters the fundamentals-don't-matter-club, myself), I shall buy more.

You may just get a chance to buy more puts, if you like to buy them on upticks. Here's the next good news:

"Windows 2000 systems to debut three weeks early"

How many, and what strikes? I plan to sell a bunch of LEAPs puts after next week, as soon as my 100 contracts expire valueless next week (highest I'm short is 85, although I have 30 long at 47.5 (1/16) which are ladder reversals of the pre-split 95's I sold at 18 more than a year ago. Se we're just squeezing out the last few pennies here. I've never (knock-knock) lost a penny on short Intel puts, although I've lost a bundle letting long Intel puts expire. Too bad my broker requires margin on my short puts. I consider selling the highest priced Intel leaps puts traded the lowest risk and highest reward-risk investment in Intel. It is also pleasurable making money from those who have little Intel faith.

Michael,

Tell me this time you didn't buy Michael Burke puts. Michael Burke puts are far out of the money, safely out of harm's way. Michael Burke puts are cheap, above all else. Michael Burke puts are a pathetic wave at distantly passing trains. Michael Burke puts require Armageddon for relevance. Michael Burke puts are sorry political statements rather than real efforts to profit.

Tell me this time you bought a man's puts. Tell me this time you have 110's, 105's or even 100's. Tell me this time you are standing with both feet firmly between the tracks, staring down the speeding locomotive. Tell me this time about your commitment, not your money management. Tell me this time about your play that I can admire for it's audacity, while disagreeing with it's timing. Tell me this time about the grit of your position. Tell me this time about your courage.

Tell me this time you bought a man's puts and you have them in size. Otherwise, tell me nothing. I've heard it all before.

Best Trading,
X

To all: took profit on these this morning; bought a replacement batch of much cheaper puts just now, in case there's no post-Fed relief rally. Thanks to the thread for crystallizing my thinking. Been out of town; I'll catch up on the thread later. Cheers, -mb
