Hi,
Hope I'm not butting in where I shouldn't, but my accountant said that one should pick one method either FIFO or LIFO and stick to it. As a result we FIFO on everything.

Hi Saul, From what I have learned, the main thing the IRS doesn't want you to do is mix and switch methods of accounting. Their attitude is "Pick and Stick", pick a method and stick with it.

Sorry I don't know any more about the brokerage documentation. It's never come up in what I've done. Maybe one of the others here can comment.
