>>Compaq earned $332 million, or 19 cents per diluted share, in the quarter ended Dec. 31, including a one-time gain of 3 cents per share from investment income. <<

Need to take trading lessons from INTC and MSFT ... heh heh heh

I started a position in Dow 30 hasbeen GT today. I kind of get of charge out of buying a stock at the same price that some sucker bought at 15 years ago.<g> Just buy and hold---Hah Hah...<g>...Dial has also caught my eye. However, my basket is getting full with all these real companies getting sold off in this stealth bear market so I guess I can be more picky...

To All, Connecting the dots. Unit sales of PCs and PC servers were up hugely, according to the industry toadies, IDC and DQ. Compaq gained unit sales market share worldwide, where it was already #1 in unit and dollar sales. Their real sales, measured in buckaroos, were down 4%. Hmmmmm! Maybe units are not the only thing the industry should look at. <VBG>
