OT - Blackjack

At least when losing my money at Blackjack I get free drinks and can flirt with the cocktail waitress and lady dealers!

If you want a good book on Blackjack, I recommend "The World's Greatest Blackjack Book" by Lance Humble and Carl Cooper. Amazon's link to it is amazon.com
It uses the method known as "Hi-Opt1", but also explains the basic strategy extemely well. A good number of humorous anecdotes makes most of the book easy to read.

ST - winning those three bets with everything on the line was a good deal of luck. You reduced the odds of losing by keeping rough track of the cards, but the mathematical % chance of losing was still fairly high. Without good money management (betting the whole wad in one throw), you risked losing everything and having no capital to recover.

All that said, winning the gamble is always nice <grin>

ps - I'm very good at blackjack as well. Accountants are very good at counting!
