Are you still thinking about buying Dell at $37?

I wonder what the impact of this will be on analyst at the Compaq meeting. It might make the comparisons between Dell and Compaq a little more balanced.

The news might also help AMD.

I don't really know but some of the possibilities you raise fit - an Inacom-like European capability (Europe is about as big a market for CPQ as US), or other logistical pieces.

But I was thinking more about other pieces in the chain. Without a detailed analysis of CPQ's commercial PC business (which I am in no way qualified to do) I can't say what exactly those pieces might be or if they even exist - but if any such activities are underway, it could explain the reluctance to disclose too many details.
