I agree, John. The same is true for every OLB I've dealt with -- very awkward page changes needed to do about anything you need to do. For Datek, it was enough to get me to spend $20 or so for a front-end to make all that page flipping easier. You might want to take a look at it. It is called "daSlinger." I agree. Datek's page design could use at least some improvement. User interface design is a complex subject but user's impression of the whole system depends on it. I hope Datek will incorporate real-time data into ordering and cancellation and allow custom settings (lots of possibilities here). It's the matter of spending time observing what the investor and trader do and how they think and figuring what changes will make it simpler and faster for them.
