I've had such dreams too.

In one I was being chased through the dusty streets of some strange mid-Eastern city by a mob. I knew only that I'd committed some awful crime or taboo though I couldn't remember what. I was just being chased and was doomed.

In another one I remember seeing a big red devil outside my apartment balcony window looking in one night. I shot him with a .357 I had and killed him. Then I went out and stood over the body and realized I had to get rid of it. I threw him off the balcony and went down and put him in my car trunk, then drove all over the city looking for some out of the way place I could bury the body. I always figured this represented some unconscious hostility toward someone in my life. Just couldn't figure out who the devil was supposed to be. Perhaps the guilt in these dreams comes from the repressed hostility we feel toward someone.(?)

There is a new movie out about exactly that topic- it is called "Open your eyes" if I recall correctly. This guy is in a mental hospital and has been locked up for killing a girl he doesn't remember killing. Sounded too creepy for me. So I rented "The Celebration" (German w/subtitles) turned out it was very creepy too. Dang are ALL movies creepy now?

Speaking of Germans- did you ever see the movie "The Nasty Girl"? It is one of my favorite movies ever.
