Bob: The sideways days are behind us -- although ABX may want that kind of environment and would benefit from it -- I agree on that completely. But they are poorly positioned for a big step forward. Do you remember when Platinum and gold were the same price? Not that long ago. The white metals are heading higher, and perhaps much higher. Gold will move in their wake.

Correction for the last three years the trend in gold is down not sideways and barrick to a large extent has pocket the cash acting as a retail arm for the worlds central banks, further depressing the price.
