Going short is not an immediate problem for me as I don't do it that often - but with the market at these heights and looking a little bit shakey I am concerned that i wouldn't be able to participate in making money from the correction due to a lack of shortable stocks.

I just wired my money today to open my account but I'm having second thoughts.

I'd appreciate some clarification from Cybercorp on their shorting policies.

I asked for BBII again this morning and got "not available." Well I know for a fact that Penson had them because my friend could get shares.

Was your friend able to get them Thursday morning? I got both BBII and MCLL shorts from Cyber earlier- still hanging on to them because I won't be able to reshort if I cover.

I'm very curious to know if the limitation is from Penson or Cyber. I'm also not thrilled that the size limits (500 shares) were so small.

There have been times that Cyber had shorts available for stocks that very few people could find. Other times they don't have shorts for well known liquid stocks. I think that there is no "better" or "worse" in comparing short lists- only different selection.
