So is that 1 million total since starting to produce coppermines, YTD or just WW07?

More Than 1 MILLION
Coppermine Shipped WW07
Thank You For Your OUTSTANDING EFFORTS>

I bet they did it (die to assembly from wafer sort in one week).

I'll probably know for sure tomorrow.

Thank you for going to all that effort.

To be quite honest, I don't think the premise that the number is YTD has much of a chance of being correct, at least the way I understand the situation to be.

Re: "Intel's Poster.... Word For Word."

I'm coming over to your side semiconeng. I went by there and I saw it too. It DOES seem to indicate this is 1 weeks output.

I am delighted to be WRONG.

Thanks for the post, SemiConEng. Obviously there are still many ways to interpret the wording, but it just seems to me that the interpretation of "one millionth Coppermine" shipped since its release is way too pessimistic. YTD also wouldn't make much sense, either.

And although one million in a week seems to be rather high considering the current supply crunch we're seeing right now, it could be the result of a rather steep production ramp-up. Who knows, maybe Fab 12 had problems shipping more than half a million per week before WW07? I don't know.

semicon, re:"I can't figure out how to do that in this message. If someone can let me now."

Use PRE up front and /PRE trailing, enclosed in <>.

semiconeng,

Thanks for the information, and the extra effort to go back and check the exact wording.

I appreciate your contribution to the thread.

Lets hope for additional good new tomorrow, from the stock action today, I am *guessing* we will have some pleasant surprises.

John

PS Like to have a copy of that poster over my desk, for when things look bleak and I think of selling some of my Intel shares. Just a reminder that Intel WILL perform when the chips are down.
