nihil, in your post to Michael, you are the one that admitted to the world that you had mental problems. I have never been hampered by such feelings of self-doubt. I beat myself over the head for being a drunk for part of my life, but, contrary to what that may make you think, there was no underlying mental, or psychological, reason involved in the drinking. Perhaps you chose your "handle" well. Nihility is defined as nonexistence; nothingness, from the Latin "nihil" for "NOTHING". And you go around accusing others of needing therapy?? Scientist, discover yourself!! ~H~

I have not followed the Ask God thread, and anyone who goes around damning people is pretty sick, I agree. I have objected to immoderate rhetoric about homosexuals when it has appeared on the political threads, because it is a sensitive issue, and I have known quite a few homosexuals for whom orientation was clearly settled long ago, and is not obviously under their control. Besides, as C.S. Lewis pointed out, even regarding pederasty as a sin, it is hardly the worst sin that one can commit. I do think, though, that the couple of people who are the most prone to unbridled denunciation on these threads are not repressed, but find the idea repulsive. This is mere speculation, of course. However, supposing it to be true, one can see how speculation about the orientation of revered religious figures could be unduly provocative. You are a very smart guy, surely there is some inclination to goad there?
