Doug look at July - September of 1998. Everthing was going down. Not very good comparision. quote.yahoo.com LU for example since July to Sep 1998, droped from 50 to 37 how about that, without warning. Any comment to that one.!!!!!!!!!!!!! The stock in June was $45, on closing well before the 1st week of Sept ,it was $33 or less. In another 15 days it was on its way to $19. Yes at that time too every one including the take over prospectus did not mention the impending shortfall. That is why the Lawyers stepped in and Wall street hammered the stock and rightly so. If a 8-10 point drop between take over proposal and actual announcement followed by a 14 pt drop within 2 weeks is O.K by you , I have no comment. Earnings warnings are never issued before a take over. They may follow after a share swap acquisition.
